Some of us are software engineers (not just hackers and makers) and feel compelled to point out that if you're writing code which points firehoses of internet traffic at end users of your app, you should be aware of techniques to ensure that code is functioning correctly. I would have loved to read mention of "testing" or "regression tests" in the author's summary of learnings. "Be careful" and "monitor bandwidth" don't really resonate with me as a sign the author gets it yet.
