  Any system predicated on the assumption that all humans are good-willed and eager to sacrifice for others is doomed. ie. there must be some other incentive for a system, operated by humans, to succeed.

  The US is the greatest healthcare system, because it's the most profitable (for insurance companies). Patient outcomes and public health are irrelevant and unimportant; only profit matters.
