AI is a tool, arguing a tool won't be useful when we are already seeing it deployed to every field from recreation, design to production environments is kinda silly.
- eternalban 3y agoThat's a strange summation of the article. The matter of AI hallucination, where she correctly pointed out the generous granting of a mind to LLMs implied in the use of the word "hallucination", was obviously a rhetorical device to lead into the 'state of mind' of the AI company CEOs. The article examined each of claimed benefits of AI and considered each as being a reasonable expectation, or a "hallucination" of AI CEOs. Not limited to criticism, OP also highlighted the availability (and recent precedent) and effectiveness of policy and legal tools to address the acts of "theft" by AI companies, as well as insuring that the "10%" chance of extinction is not left to the choices and decisions of SV CEOs.
