We have a weird legal system where Marriott gets sued for something being done by many hotels and the outcome is that only Marriott has to be transparent about this. It's tough to even call this the bare minimum to help consumers who have such little power in this situation. I'm glad bills for the Junk Fees Prevention Act, which would address this, were introduced in March/April, but they haven't had any movement since.
