What reserves? The article is about parents who don't have reserves because they're already drowning in debt.
- cratermoon 3y agoSounds like what someone who thinks it's still possible to save enough money for college by stashing part of their allowance and working part-time jobs in high school would say.
- babelthuap 3y agoThe military will not only pay for college but also advanced degrees. Even payback prior school debt. End of the day I as a parent or a taxpayer don't owe anyone a college education. Nobody paid for mine and I turned out exceptional through get this....the work ethics I learned in the USMC. How about that!
- cratermoon 3y agoNot everyone can or wants to join the military. It's not something that should be a prerequisite for higher education.
- 5bolts 3y agono one said that was the ONLY way. Just like college isn't for everyone, nor should everyone expect to go. But i do think it would be a better country with forced service between highschool and potential higher education.

- babelthuap 3y agoThe child can join any branch of the military reserves to pay for college to include the Coast Guard.
