Ostensibly their goal is to find criminals and arrest them and in doing so they'll also be preventing foreign spies from spying, or domestic terrorists from domestically terroring; both of which are illegal in some way, I think.
- kevin_thibedeau 3y agoThey conduct investigatory operations. It isn't all crime related. The mundane stuff just doesn't get featured in police procedurals.
- cduzz 3y agoOh yes of course; but I'm not sure the FBI would be consulting with the CIA over background checks (overtly).
