It's hard for the "rationalist" crowd to understand but not everyone is arguing in good faith, and humans tend to regurgitate the last opinion they heard from a person they like. Of course, there's a small amount of time I'll be wrong, and I'm happy to apologize and have a proper discussion when that happens.
