We can't even keep normal roads free of potholes, how would we ever maintain electrified highways. Also the waste inherent to inductive charging would eat in to the carbon emissions benefits we're hoping to get from electric cars pretty significantly.

On the upside, with all that energy going into heating the asphalt, Florida can finally start to reduce their snowplow fleet.
