I’ve been using iPads since the first generation, and in the early years I tried a couple of times to make them my main tool for writing, e-mail, and other work requiring a keyboard or the manipulation of files. That became frustrating very quickly, and I soon went back to my computer. But now I do almost all of my reading and video watching on my iPad Pro, and I love it for that. It’s also great for handwritten work—scribbling notes on PDFs, drawing pictures, etc.
