What’s the point of autoloading? Just being lazy about require statements?
Rails always baffled me in this regard, things coming from seemingly nowhere, sometimes (in a large and messy codebases) hard to trace back and comprehend.
- graypegg 3y agoThings are indexed by name, so it’s normally pretty easy to trace back where something comes from based on that unique symbol name, especially with IDE tools. I at least don’t find it to be a problem. The big list of imports at the top of most files in my nodejs projects I find more annoying personally.
