Cocoa listed as one of the failed Apple techs was weird to read.
There was a time when Carbon was seen as the true way forward for “real” and complex software. Cocoa was nice for pet projects or if you were into exotic languages like ObjC.
Or maybe it’s just James Thomson’s humor. Or a bit of both.

- tambourine_man 4y agoI never heard anyone qualify Copland as amazing. In fact, its only memorable characteristic was that it never shipped.

- KerrAvon 4y ago“Killer” in this context is an English-language slang superlative. Similar to amazing, awesome, fabulous, great. It doesn’t mean “dead” or “failed”.
