I half agree with the author, though I see LLMs more like the harbingers of the upcoming language apocalypse rather than of the post-language age, considering the limits of their world is the limits of our language, how much faith and hype we start to be putting in it and the degree we depend on language that makes it a perfect tool to manipulate us in the deepest level. The LLMs are just tools, if we do not see past language ourselves (and considering what I read and discuss last months, we generally do not) the post-language era will never happen. Even the fact that the author held the conversations they had with a LLM higher than human conversation proves exactly this point.
