Remember that some people lost their jobs, freedoms and relationships for rejecting this vaccine.
I do wonder how many unknown side effects less researched vaccines have! And at this point, there is probably a huge research gap between the covid vaccines and all other vaccines.
PS: I am not an anti vaxxer. I paid 500€ to get the damn HPV vaccines and next week I am gonna get my second meningococcal vaccination (one of the most painful vaccinations), because it also provides limited protection against gonorrhea and I want to minimize the chance of me having to take fluoroquinolone antibiotics again despite being sex addicted. Everyone should do their own risk assessment.
- CJefferson 4y agoI can split up with someone who refuses to take a vaccination, or any precaution ,for an illness I believe I have a high chance of catching, and dying from, based on the best scientific knowledge at the time. In general, I think scientists did the best with the knowledge they had, trying to save as many people as possible. Of course they could have done better with 10 to 20 years of testing, but that wasn’t an option. This paper still says you are better taking the vaccine than not taking it.
- mullingitover 4y ago> Everyone should do their own risk assessment. This puts a dubious amount of faith in the average person’s understanding of probability and statistics.
- scotty79 4y agoPeople are famously bad at probability.
- davidy123 4y agoFrom the study: Based on the official COVID-19 death reports, it is estimated that vaccinations have prevented 14.4 million excess COVID-19 deaths worldwide between December 2020 and December 202139. Thus, vaccination is the most effective method for preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
- alienicecream 4y agoThe second sentence doesn't even follow logically from the first sentence, though they put the word "thus" in there, and together they have nothing to do with the purpose of the study. But good job controlling the narrative, that's what these bromides are there for.
- 6nf 4y agoRegardless of what evidence you show people some of them always insist on yelling about how the vaccine is amazing and everyone should be taking it. Its not even the point of the study but REMEMBER EVERYONE SAFE AND EFFECTIIIIIIVE
- Traubenfuchs 3y agoDo they split it by age? How many deaths were prevented in <25, <30, <35, <40 year olds? What about 18 year olds? Those that had to take the vaccination to be allowed to attend university? How many of those were saved by it?
