No colours? Any non-coloured terminal feels dead to me.
Half of the things I do in my dot files are related to adding colours.
Including some long colour parameter string to be used with midnight commander.
- tomxor 3y agoI've been gradually dialling back colours in the terminal over the years. I find everything has just become too colourful for no apparent reason, when everything is highlighted it feels like nothing is highlighted and more distracting than anything... syntax highlighting is the only hold out I've kept so far.
- justsomehnguy 3y agoNo colours. Eg Docker defaults to DarkBlue on Black for some status states and it's barely visible on my setup at tge daytime. At night it's just incomprehensible, I need to turn off Night Light or ramp up brightness over 150%. No, I can't tune my environment, it's always some client's machine.
