I don't know, but I'm guessing there's a big difference between knowing how to play your scales and playing perfectly evenly and fluidly.

- j7ake 3y agoCorrect. The conservatory music exams require scales to be played from first level to last level. However each level demands faster tempo, evenness in volume, and a smooth “pulse” (like BB gun pellets hitting a wall)
