I think a more apt comparison would be the buzz around Siri when it first appeared on the iPhone and people started having conversations with it. There was much interest in this assistant and since then normal consumers have found value in a range of audio assistants from Apple, Google and Amazon- but they have simply been too limited . In a way the public have been conditioned and sold their personal “Watson” for the past 10 years but they really have not done that much. Now we are seeing that same public finding a much higher level of value in the new tools. Tools that appear to be delivering more of what has been promised to consumers for a decade.
