Had to look this up, only to find out that it's just 7075 aluminum. This got me thinking, though, what would be interesting is an outdoor rated all-sky camera that can be permanently mounted and powered with PoE, is easy to clean off, doesn't get fogged up, and has an extremely high light sensitivity including near infrared bands. Then you could watch for aircraft, meteors and satellite flares with some precision (assuming you have a GPS location for the camera.)
