Most end users want a simple centralized solution, this is just yet another proof of that.
The fedi will remain a sub-cultural thing. I said that way back in the start of 2022 waves.
- brundolf 4y agoYou can have a nice centralized layer over a robust decentralized back-end, which people only have to use if things go south. And then that will keep the big players more honest, because users can just leave when they don't like what the client is doing (instead of being held hostage, like they are on twitter right now)
