I'm a webdev and put out websites 1:1 to the designers creations, but my private projects have little to nonexistent css, just plain text everywhere, no hidden objects. Sometimes when working on designs I have brainfog events like when you watch a movie and the cutting is well done, you don't notice the cut. I imagine it is similar with designs, a good design hypnotises the user, even though objectively it is unpractical.
