I use linux and hamburger menus in Gnome is one of the greatest tragedies. The global menu bar in macOS is a really nice thing, it's steady. It's a shame several linux DEs now have a top bar but none of them use it in this useful way.
- rickstanley 4y agoKDE has a Global Menu plasmoid. Unfortunately it falls into the plasma's discoverability pit. Even if it did not fall into this, there are non-QT apps that don't export its menu to the DE, for instance: Firefox (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1419151 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1419151).
