Another thing I've learned about smart people is that they're basically always willing to tell you what they know. This is super-encouraging to me as someone who is nowhere near as smart as them. Another way to think about this: the smart people are happy to tell me what I need to know to succeed, so I don't have to be disadvantaged by not being as smart. I do, however, have to be humble enough to be a good listener, and have some discernment to know who to listen to.
