N95 works when worn nearly 100% of the time. 99% of the people I saw during this time were wearing cloth/surgical/non N95-masks that clearly don't work based on overwhelming evidence.
- NoZebra120vClip 3y agoDuring the initial stages of mask mandates, N95s were nigh-unobtainable. Also, I wear a full beard. So basically wearing any type of mask, even a N95, that does not fully cover my head, is going to be ineffective. I went to the drug store and I purchased some cheap Chinese paper masks for like $20 for a box of 50. The only thing I expected them to do was to keep me from being ejected from the bus or public buildings while I went about my daily business. Mission accomplished.
- whatshisface 3y agoYou still did a good thing, if you got a cold or something and sneezed inside one of those paper masks, the droplets wouldn't spread as far.
