In one sense, you the customer are still using cash, so it should be a nop. But, what's to say that machine (for whatever reason) doesn't like the look of your cash (or you? will they have little pin hole cameras sending data to face recognition back in central reverse) and refuses to spit out a card? I don't like it either and I think this could be challenged in court, in NYC.
