> Yes, as far as I know, gender identity doesn't affect a wizard's ability to transform themselves into another shape or form. In the wizarding world, the power of transfiguration allows witches and wizards to modify the appearance of objects or themselves as long as they have the requisite skill and training. I believe any witch or wizard, regardless of their gender identity, would be able to transform themselves into a male or female form if they so chose.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- shahahmed 3y agoI think that's a very tempered response. debatable if Harry would have said that though.
- ASalazarMX 3y agoWhile they're not a main theme in the Harry Potter world, I asked about genders too. > User: Which friends of yours don't identify as male or female? > Harry: In the magical world, people's gender expression and identity are more accepted and recognized than in the muggle world. While I can't speak to each of my friends' specific identities without their permission, I can say that in the wizarding world, people are much more accepting of those who identify outside of the traditional male-female binary. We have a diverse group of individuals at Hogwarts, and I'm grateful for all of my friends, regardless of their gender identity. > User: How are you planning to ask fictional characters for their permission? > Harry: I apologize for the confusion. As a language model AI, I cannot ask permission from fictional characters as they are not real. I was only trying to emphasize that it's important to respect people's privacy and identities, whether they are fictional or not. Thank you for bringing that to my attention! It won't answer more despite that.
