Major Pay-TV Providers Lost About 5,900,000 Subs To Cord Cutting Last Year
- cs702 3y agoOut with the old, in with the new. Except the new is the same as the old: Old: The cable company makes you pay up for a bundle of channels that includes those you actually want to watch. Most of the channels in any bundle are garbage content you don't want to watch. But you get a single UI for all channels, so that's nice. New: Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, etc. make you pay up for a bundle of those streaming services you actually want to watch. Each streaming service strives to have at least one must-see show but is otherwise chock-full of stuff you don't care about. Oh, and now each service has a different UI.
