Why Silicon Valley is bringing eugenics back
- quantified 3y agoKind of a stretch to equate Musk with contemporary Silicon Valley? It's not like people talking about it ever left the scene anywhere, just that government action ceased. Tucker Carlson's been way more active in warning about encroachments by the inferior, if you're into that sort of thing. And of the four mentioned (Musk, Shockley, Jordan, Bostrom), Bostrom's at Oxford, which isn't part of California, and Shockley and Jordan are quite deceased and inactive. I doubt any return is more prominent in Silicon Valley or tech in general than it is anywhere else.

- quantified 3y agoI am sure he subscribes to the Streisand Effect and welcomes them all. The more he causes people to mention him, the more relevant he remains. It's not like anyone with influence on his world is saying anything, and he's shown his Jedi mastery of avoiding blows.
