- Zigurd 3y agoStarship is designed to be both highly capable, for manned space exploration, and cheap, to launch 10s of thousands of gen2 Starlink sats. There are even more important synergies in that Starlink is what gives SpaceX a high valuation compared to companies that are only in the launch business. If it all works as intended, both Starshiip and Starlink will have great advantages as a result of this strategic synergy. Or if, for example, Starship is trying to be too many things at once, it is a house of cards.
