Ask HN: Dell update results in BSOD deathspiral. Is it just me?
I know several people this happened to today. Are there any more out there? :)
- AHOHA 3y agoCan you elaborate what do you mean “dell update”? Laptops, servers, etc. and what kind of update?
- bronlund 3y agoSorry. It is a laptop running Windows 11. I'm not that sure about all the updates, but I do know it flashed the BIOS at some point. I can boot it from an USB-stick though, so I guess the BIOS is kind of working.
- justsomehnguy 3y agoAsk at /r/techsupport. Or better just take a look in the New, if this a mass problem there is a chance somebody already asked about it.
- bronlund 3y agoI don't need support, I have fixed the issue, but I know hundreds of people was affected by this yesterday, so I was just curious :)
