- tuukkah 3y agoAnd what's all new today is that preorders are now open: "Framework Laptop 13 with AMD Ryzen preorderable"
- jonesetc 3y agoThe new thing is the specific CPU announcement. I'm pretty sure preorders have stayed open since the initial announcement a few weeks back.
- tuukkah 3y agoI see. So before today, you could preorder Framework Laptop 13 with Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 without knowing which CPU model you'll get, but today you can preorder with Ryzen 5 7640U or Ryzen 7 7840U specifically.
- nrp 3y agoCorrect. AMD officially announced the processors today, which means we get to announce them too. Before this, people were basically operating on trust that the Framework+Ryzen combo was going to spec out positively.
- komali2 3y agoNot that much trust, I pre ordered but all it required was a 100$ refundable deposit. More than worth it imo.
- kej 3y agoCorrect, and AMD preorders recently sold out for Q3 and are now into Q4.
