I don't get the anger, at this point Edge is interchangeable with Chrome. The only thing I "miss" are my saved password and extensions which can be easily imported. Complaining online is an international pastime though.
- AraceliHarker 4y agoFor example, Bing Chat is not available without using Edge, right?
- josefresco 4y agoI have no problems with MS making Bing Chat a "feature" of Edge.
- wheybags 4y agoIt's not about the quality of the browser. The user has a setting to choose which browser to use, and they are disregarding it for their own convenience. It's anti-consumer and anti-competitive.
- josefresco 4y agoI agree, it's just "more of the same" for me and thankfully Edge isn't terrible like IE 6x etc.
- thomond 4y ago> at this point Edge is interchangeable with Chrome Then why would MSFT release Edge at all? maybe they should default to Chrome.
- josefresco 4y agoWhy does Google develop Chrome? Why not just support Chromium?
- Hamuko 4y ago>Edge is interchangeable with Chrome Okay. What if I want to use Firefox though?
- josefresco 4y agoMy daily driver is Firefox but I also have Chrome open (for Google products) and Vivaldi for personal surfing. Easy switch considering I'm already juggling browsers.
- can16358p 4y agoIt's not a technical problem. It's more of an ideology about Microsoft forcing whatever they want on users.
- josefresco 4y ago20 years ago this was a problem you could blame exclusively on MS. These days, they'd be negligent not to leverage their platforms to promote other products because the competition (Google/Apple) does so on a similar level.
- cultureswitch 4y agoThat others are doing it too is correct and irrelevant.
