I'm not opposed to shutting down SEO BS, but I think there's a middle ground somewhere. Like the Netflix model seems reasonable. They're promoting content they think I'll watch, but the show titles and thumbnails aren't quite clickbait. They do fiddle with the thumbnails to increase engagement but at least it's still pics from the movie/show.
