Due to ‘security risks,’ Samsung bans workers from using generative AI

  It reads to me like they were banned from the free ChatGPT, which has the "non-api" terms of service: " We may use Content from Services other than our API (“Non-API Content”) to help develop and improve our Services." So, not unreasonable to ban it, because uploading Samsung code or other intellectual property into a ChatGPT prompt subjects it to that TOS. Meaning, it's not that weird of a policy.

    i dont think the distinction is free or not. they found stadd copying stuff into one of these services that they didnt want leaving company computers and just blanket banned it so theres no ambiguity.

  Samsung is not the only company enforcing this, it’s just that for some reason Samsung = news. Federal agencies banned it right away.
