Ukrainian farmer comes up with novel way to demine his fields [video]
- melling 3y agoThere are a lot of land mines in Ukraine. Maybe self-driving technology can be put to use to find the mines. It could take decades to find them all. https://www.wired.com/story/russian-landmines-ukraine-psychological-warfare/ https://www.wired.com/story/russian-landmines-ukraine-psycho...
- Jeff_Brown 3y agoThis leaves a lot of questions. They're controlling a tractor remotely, and they've put armor on it from a dead Russian tank, and the plan is to drive around until it runs into a mine? Does it always detonate them, or can it collect them for destruction elsewhere? How many can it disarm before breaking the tractor? How feasible is this for other farmers? (Russia's only lost on the order of 2,000 tanks so far.)
