What Cheetahs, Armadillos and Whales Revealed About Human DNA
- culi 3y agotl;dr: the Zoonomia Project analyzed tons of genomes and experiments on DNA of mammals. The implicit question in the title is never really answered but instead the article says how the ZP "is allowing" or "could guide" or other "it'll be useful soon!"-type language Examples: > The researchers have only scraped the surface of potential revelations in their database. Other researchers say it will serve as a treasure map to guide further explorations of the human genome. > But it’s not yet possible for scientists to look directly at the human genome and identify all the switches. > Dr. Whiffin said the Zoonomia Project could guide geneticists to unexplored regions of the genome with health relevance. > The Zoonomia Project is allowing researchers to pinpoint mutations in the human genome that help make us unique
