Lines up perfectly with the truthiness, "My truth is bigger than yours" theme. Scientism has become the new secular religion, with all of the intolerance decried as backwards and illiberal elsewhere. There's also doomsday theology. Repent by tabooing meat or worse. Hoping we can do better. The entire philosophical premise is problematic, but I doubt we'll have a chance to explore that in a genuine way here.
