It's already up over 25% in the last year anyway. Not sure why we're worring about long term. Anyone try booking a trip to Europe from US lately?

- psychlops 3y agoBecause the headline says "climate change" and everyone loves to sling around pseudo factual percentages.

- Semaphor 3y ago> It's already up over 25% in the last year anyway. Germany to South Africa was 550-750€ (roughly KLM/Air France/British Airways to Emirates range) pre-pandemic, and that was also what we were seeing this year, so maybe that’s more route dependent?
- taude 3y agoUS -> anywhere I've looked (or booked) in Europe is up from about $900 -> $1800 in May -> September. So for my personal flights, it's about 100% up. In talking with friends booking family trips, it sounds the same. Even my local US-based trips along the east coast are up from $325 -> close to the $550 range for some of the same JetBlue flights I take quarterly.
