Heroku is down and they didn't know it for 90 minutes
- replygirl 3y agoAnd it's back. I figured it would be fixed by morning, which I guess it technically was Update: Fixed again, no incident report though
- justinmolineaux 3y agoLoads of tweets reporting dashboard and deployment outages: https://twitter.com/search?q=Heroku&src=typeahead_click&f=live https://twitter.com/search?q=Heroku&src=typeahead_click&f=li... No acknowledgement from @herokustatus on twitter or https://status.heroku.com https://status.heroku.com.

- gkoberger 3y agoUnfortunately, Heroku has mostly given up. They simply don't care anymore. It's such a shame, since I (used to) love them. We run on Heroku and I've been an evangelist for a decade. The current management is a complete disappointment, and this will continue to happen until Salesforce replaces the executive team.
- justinmolineaux 3y agoDashboards and deploys down for nearly an hour, status page still says all is good :(. https://downdetector.com/status/heroku/ https://downdetector.com/status/heroku/ https://status.heroku.com/ https://status.heroku.com/
- jkhor 3y agoAt some point https://updetector.com/status/heroku/ https://updetector.com/status/heroku/ will be more appropriate..
- justinmolineaux 3y agoBuy it now!
- forgingahead 3y agoThis is ridiculous (as usual) - what are the alternatives folks are using? Or are there really no options like "git push heroku master" where everything just works (or at least, used to work magically).
- gkoberger 3y agoFly.io, Render, Vercel, Railway
- scottmotte 3y agoI've tried all four, and Render is the closest experience to Heroku. It still isn't as easy to use as Heroku, but it is close.

- amlampert 3y agoRecently pivoted front end to vercel and it has been amazing, but back end has stayed on Heroku because Vercel only currently offers headless RoR. Actively considering alternatives because of this.
- leerob 3y agoOdd timing, but Vercel launched databases today https://vercel.com/blog/vercel-storage https://vercel.com/blog/vercel-storage. (I work there)

- riadsila 3y agoThere's Koyeb that supports git deployments. (FYI, I work there.)
- justinmolineaux 3y agoOK they finally figured it out at ~7:06pm PDT. So ~90-minute time-to-detect. Nice. https://status.heroku.com/ https://status.heroku.com/
