Kind of a weird comment; haven't both police force sizes and budgets grown as the mass surveillance state has also come into reality?

- chaostheory 3y agoNo. Police forces have had shortages since the mid 2000s. It’s gotten worse since then. It’s been a regular news feature since about 2010. It’s old news https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/07/19/us/police-staffing-shortages-recruitment/index.html https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/07/19/us/police-staffing-shorta...
- anigbrowl 3y agoI think you should review how you came at this argument. 'Winding down' something and having a shortage of one of that thing's inputs are two very different concepts, and you seem to bounce back and forth between talking about it as a hiring problem vs an abolition effort.

- anigbrowl 3y agoApparently you're just interested in using other people as foils rather than having a discussion. Good luck with that.
