Yeah... The thing is, the current UI isn't really good for small screens, so when we teamed up with Google to bring Krita to Android and ChromeOS, we only targeted large-screen devices.
We are trying to add a UX suitable for small-screen devices, but... Google changes Android so often and so weirdly that the guy working on Krita on Android pretty much spends all his time chasing those changes instead of designing a small-screen friendly UI.
- evertedsphere 3y agoTo be fair, Clip Studio Paint also for the most part chose to port the desktop UI to Android instead of something more touch-friendly, didn't they?
- Pxtl 3y agoOh shit I just bought my kid a Moto G Stylus and Krita was part of our game-plan. Is there a bounty I can donate to for this?
- hallarempt 3y agoYou can still sideload it, but a phone-suitable UX is going to take a year, or two, three.
- Pxtl 3y agoGreat, thanks!
- monetus 3y agoI've been trying it on the stylus but it is difficult - f-droid hosts it I think.
