I worked at a crap restaurant when I was in H.S. and ... I actually really liked it. The people (who were all over the map - crazy, sane, fun, boring, good, bad - just everything ), the work (which was that tedious physicality that you can just do totally spaced out) and everything that went with it. It didn't have the same kind of sanctification as the work I do now but it also lacked the level of frustration I get now. Note that unlike flippinburgers I was working in the back - way back.
