This is quite literally the plot to the movie Her, visionary.
Troubling, I've seen the ads for their product and they always suggested pornographic conversation with the AI.
I hope someone drags them to court.
- cmiles74 3y agoBoth the movie "Her" and the Black Mirror episode "Be Right Back" pre-date Replika. IMHO, the Black Mirror episode is a closer fit. According to the Wikipedia page, early prototypes were trained on chat messages from one of the founder's friends. "After a friend of hers died in 2015, she converted that person's text messages into a chatbot.
