Can the U.S. win the microchip war?
- simonblack 3y agoShort-term? Maybe. Long-term? Definitely not. Development in this area takes a lot of money. China has plenty to spare. The US, not so much. If Taiwanese chips are taken out of the equation, China is already more self-sufficient than the US is. TSMC will not survive any conflict between the US and China. And one US general has recently stated that that conflict is only 2 years away.
