Why U.S. vacation policies are so much worse than Europe's

Euro culture (appreciate, massive generalisation, there's loads of variance but...) is pretty good at finishing when you finish, starting when you start. None of this email replies at 9pm at night etc. US working culture routinely intrudes into unpaid personal time. It's an impressive feat of propaganda to keep the public largely unaware of this outrageous exploitation
