- why5s 3y agoDon't landlords more or less already have access to this via credit scores, background checks etc? I don't think there's a reasonable equivalent to this for tenants.
- bombcar 3y agoIt's exactly what they have access to, though the landlord will usually be looking at credit to determine the tenant has a job and can pay, the background check is more useful to see if they have any tenant/landlord civil suits in their history.
- Varqu 3y agoGenerally the more transparency there is on both sides, the better: This way, the market can punish bad behaviors (abusive landlords / problematic tenants) and reward those who act properly.
- kevviiinn 3y agoYea, give more power to landlords. Brilliant If you to this you're a horrible person, just like the people who made the app for landlords to collude on price hikes https://www.npr.org/2022/10/17/1129489582/this-computer-software-might-have-told-your-landlord-they-could-raise-your-rent https://www.npr.org/2022/10/17/1129489582/this-computer-soft... https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2022-evictions-monarch-investment-rental-properties/ https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2022-evictions-monarch-in...
