Re: putter. I don't know where the Bear Blog dev hails from but it's a word used a lot here in the UK. We putter around. Sometimes (more commonly) we also potter around. Commonly used to explain how we somehow combine aimlessness and mindfulness in one action to casually, and almost as an accidental by-product, spend time achieving some wistful off-hand goal to varying degrees of satisfaction.
