Show HN: Making a closed-source product open and free for noncommercial use
- graderjs 3y agoHey there! We've decided to make our product's source code public! It's kind of inspired by the GitLab guy's open core ventures, but we're not totally sure about the open core model. There's just something cool about sharing our code with you all. We think it's nice to let people see the code for themselves, making sure there's nothing sketchy going on. Plus, it feels good to give back to public institutions and non-commercial projects. We know we've still got to make money, so we're finding that balance between openness and keeping the lights on.
