It probably depends on how long you've had your email address. I've had mine for 20+ years would be borderline unusable without spam filtering. It's been much better since I took the time to set things up so marking and email spam automatically fed it into sa-learn. I still have to have a handful of rules to filter out senders who are "legit" enough to make it through, but ignore unsubscribe requests.
