I totally disagree about the usefulness of the Hipmunk interface: visualizing it is exactly what I need because for $X dollars I'm wiling to wake up a little earlier, or get in a little later and the opposite. The reason I no longer use Hipmunk is that every ticket I've gotten from them (4 round trips total) has been standby, and I was never told that when I bought it. I was moved to a later flight because I was standby on the last one and the experience was soiled for me.
