Bill C-11 – Controversial bill to regulate online streaming becomes law
- MichaelZuo 3y agoIf you need a quick analysis of the bill, I tangentially wrote one on my blog: https://mzuo.ca/2023/04/04/analysis-of-gpt-4-competence-in-assessing-complex-legal-language-example-of-bill-c-11-of-the-canadian-parliament-part-1/ https://mzuo.ca/2023/04/04/analysis-of-gpt-4-competence-in-a... The intention was to analyze ChatGPT-4's performance on dense legal language. (No relation to the poster, ChumpGPT, though it's amusingly coincidental.)
- horeszko 3y agoI wonder if the streaming platforms will do what radio stations did back in the day and just play the same (small) handful of Canadian songs more often to meet the government quota. The streaming platforms will likely struggle to find Canadian songs/videos/etc that people actually want to see/hear just like radio stations did.

- ilrwbwrkhv 3y agoCanada's brilliant mediocrity at play again. They have created a handful of shows in the entire history of the country's existence worth watching and now they come up with uneducated laws like these. What does this even solve?
