Learning Agile Soccer Skills for a Bipedal Robot
- billconan 3y agovery entertaining to watch
- verdverm 3y agoindeed, the movements were far more interesting than I anticipated. Really quite impressive, even at the hardware level, but then add the software and wow
- modeless 3y agoThis deserves more attention than it's getting. The results shown in the videos are extremely impressive, despite the unpolished presentation (surprising for a DeepMind release). It's trained end-to-end in simulation but works without modification on real robots, with the most agile and accurate non-preprogrammed movements I've ever seen on this type of servomotor-driven robot. This represents far more progress in robotics than the trash sorting robot that was recently on the front page.
